Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong arrived at Malacañang Palace on Wednesday for a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is on official visit to the Philippines from June 4 to 5, 2025. He was welcomed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, and First Lady Louise ”Liza” Araneta-Marcos, together with key government officials. MALACANANG PRESS CORPS POOL

Wong is on official visit to the Philippines from June 4 to 5, 2025. He was welcomed by Marcos and First Lady Louise ”Liza” Araneta-Marcos, together with other key government officials, including Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Energy officer-in-charge Sharon Garin, and Presidential Communications Office Secretary Jay Ruiz. 

Marcos and Wong are expected to talk about key areas in their relations, such as health, climate change mitigation, and civil service cooperation.

The two leaders will also exchange views on political and economic issues of significance to the region

The Philippines is the first bilateral visit of the Singaporean leader after his reappointment in May. This visit also marks Wong’s introductory visit to Manila. —RF, GMA Integrated News
