Bask in the celebrations with these National Day-inspired eats

See this island, every grain of sand. Hear this anthem, it’s the voices of our friends. ?

Yup, it’s your friends asking you out for a good meal to celebrate Singapore’s birthday. If you’re looking for local flavours to indulge in, CapitaLand INSIDE got you covered with 5 places across our island which you can hit up for local flavours this August.

With dine-in resumed in groups of up to 5 for those fully vaccinated, bring your family or friends along for a cultural and culinary tour around Singapore. LEGGO ?!

1️⃣ Swensen’s

Celebrate the month of our nation’s birthday with Swensen’s and its classic western delights. Be it with your fam or your bae, there’s something to enjoy for everyone ?.

Try out Swensen’s new offering, Seafood Laksa Baked Rice, topped with plump shrimps, squid, fish fillet and loaded with a gooey cheese and laksa pesto sauce. A combination that satisfies both Eastern and Western palates with its explosive flavour and richness ?.

If you’re dining in with your fam, go for the So Shiok! set. Just like its name, every dish is sure to leave you wanting for more. The So Shiok! platter consists of prawn cake, calamari rings, chicken tenders and fries. Dip into the exclusive sauces, laksa and chilli for some finger-licking goodness. Talk about shiok!

Plus, indulge in the coconut craze with the Nasi Lemak Pizza with Boneless Wings and Nasi Lemak burger. End the meal on a sweet note with the Goreng Pisang (fried banana) split, a reinvention of the Swensen’s signature Banana Split.

The set is valid till 31 August, so head down to your nearest outlet now. Swensen’s can be found across the island at 7 CapitaLand malls.
