The coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to business and leisure travel plans this year, and it’s difficult to imagine a time when life will return completely to normal. In the meantime, it’s worth doing a little bit of planning. If you have never visited New York City or will be travelling on business in the future then it’s worth getting a sense of some of the highlights that you can enjoy while you are there. The city has some of the finest accommodation in the United States so if you want a taste of luxury, look out for the range of serviced apartments in New York.

If you’re planning a trip to the city for business or leisure, then be sure to make time to find some of the best panoramic views of ‘the Big Apple’. There are several sites throughout the city where you’ll be able to enjoy just such a view – let’s take a look at a few of them.

The Rockerfeller Centre

Right in the middle of Manhattan is the Rockerfeller centre, whose iconic observation platform provides an excellent place from which to take in the surrounding city.

The Empire State Building

The Empire State Building’s 86th-floor observation deck is excellently placed to provide eye-popping views of the city. If you’re willing to pay a little extra, you can even enjoy the sun coming up. Be sure to take a few photos while you’re up there!

One World Observatory

The One-World Observatory is at the top of the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building, spread between the 100th and 102nd floors. From there, you’ll be able to see for forty-five miles in every direction.

Brooklyn Bridge

Of course, the skyscrapers of Manhattan are an important part of the overall look of NYC – but they’re not the be all and end all. The view from the bridge provides a glimpse not only of the skyscrapers, but the waterfront, too.

Staten Island Ferry

If you’re planning a trip to Staten Island, then you’ll get a fairly complete view of the city on the way out and back.

Edge NYC

If taking in the city from inside a skyscraper seems a little restrictive, then why not consider a trip up to Edge NYC? It’s the tallest outdoor observation platform in the Western Hemisphere, and, thanks to angled glass walls, it provides an unbridled feeling of freedom and weightlessness.

Vessel

In the middle of Hudson Yards is a new landmark that’s been designed to be climbed. It’s designed to provide plenty of new perspectives on the city, with more than eighty different landings and 154 flights of stairs.
