ST Engineering and Janus Technologies launched the BIOS-SHIELD™, Asia’s first firmware solution with a cloud-based management portal that provides enterprises with a highly secure endpoint management and control. Enterprises are able to transform existing backend management to cloud, enhancing the security features of their endpoints remotely and addressing challenges faced in today’s highly mobile technology landscape.

“This unique solution is a result of our continued collaboration with Janus Technologies. Leveraging innovative technologies from Janus Technologies and ST Engineering’s deep cybersecurity expertise, we have developed another cutting-edge solution that will protect enterprises from the evolving cyber threats. With this solution, enterprises can secure any of their endpoints and manage them with the cloud based management portal in an effective and efficient way,” said Mr Goh Eng Choon, President of Cybersecurity Systems Group, ST Engineering.

“ST Engineering is an exceptional technology leader and we are thrilled to be working alongside them once again,” said Sofin Raskin, CEO, Janus Technologies. “This new offering will offer enterprises greater flexibility by allowing their employees a secure means of accessing critical data – outside the office – without fear of their devices and data being compromised.”

On the user level, BIOS-SHIELD™ provides secure access to secured and unsecured networks at the same time. It also possess a unique capability of detecting malwares, performing a network isolation, and removing the malwares from the infected network with a simple reboot of the system.

BIOS-SHIELD™ blocks internet threats when users are browsing the internet and prevents unauthorised USB devices from accessing the computer. It also provides USB thumb drive encryption for sharing data securely. In the event of ransomware attack or software failure, BIOS-SHIELD is able to restore and recover data quickly.

The BIOS-SHIELD™ technology is being showcased at the RSA Conference 2020 from 23 to 27 February 2020 in San Francisco, California, Booth 4529, North Expo.
