Singapore Launches Smart Nation Innovations Week 2019

Once again, Singapore launches the Smart Nations Week (SNI) 2019. This year, it will be held from 24 June to 28 June 2019. Organized by Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the event will welcome more than 15,000 local and international guests to congregate in Singapore to share and learn about the intersections of economy, society and government across the world, look into the future impact of technology and promote thought leadership from both the Eastern and Western countries throughout South-east Asia. The SNI Week constituent events include the week’s flagship Smart Nation Summit (SNS), Straits Digital Exchange (SDE), Digital Government Exchange (DGX) and Innovfest Unbound.

Smart Nation Summit

Organized by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) in partnership with Unbound within the wider ambit of the Smart Nation Innovations Week, the Smart Nation Summit (SNS) is a premiere annual by-invitation-only half day forum, carefully curated as the apex event to facilitate open and impactful conversations among government and business stakeholders on the policies, strategies, technologies and mind-sets needed in this new digital economy.

This June, the Smart Nation Summit is where industry and government thought leaders come together for cross-vertical, high-level conversations about the most pertinent issues and trends surrounding digital transformation, a digital Asia, and trust in a digital-as-usual age. The forum will feature Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as the Guest of Honour.

In partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), organised by NUS Enterprise and Unbound, Southeast Asia’s largest and most exciting innovation festival, Innovfest Unbound will be back. Co-Chaired by Yossi Vardi and Freddy Boey, it is the place where brands connect with disruptive innovation and explore Asia opportunities.

The award-winning Innovfest Unbound is the anchor event of Smart Nation Innovations, a week-long series of events that showcase Asia’s most innovative developments. In 2019, we’ll welcome over 15,000 entrepreneurs, brands, corporates, investors and tech start-ups from 100+ countries to meet and share new ideas, build partnerships and celebrate digital disruption.

A number of satellite events highlight the trends shaping the world of tech throughout; Convergence, Futurenow, Arise and TrustedAI.

Straits Digital Exchange

Organized by Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Straits Digital Exchange is one of the anchor events of the Smart Nation Innovations Week, which will take place from 24 to 28 June 2019 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. It is a closed-door, by-invitation only event for Ministers responsible for Information, Communications and Technology to exchange views on key policy issues and the role that governments must play in “Accelerating the Digital Economy: Building Digital Readiness”.

Digital Government Exchange

24 – 26 June 2019

GovTech’s annual Digital Government Exchange (DGX) is a two-day, by invitation-only event for international public sector leaders with deep interest in the user of Smart Technologies in delivering government services to citizens and businesses.

In it’s fourth edition, this year’s DGX will see attendees from leading digital governments of Australia, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Japan and New Zealand among others, coming together for candid discussions on Artificial Intelligence and opportunities for Government on Cloud.
